Quick apple crisp recipe
Apples, medium sized 4-6, peeled, sliced and chunked
Butter or margarine 3-4 tbsp, slightly thawed
Unbleached flour 1 ½ tbsp
Lemon juice mixed with water ¼ cup
Oatmeal ½ - ¾ cup
Brown sugar ¼ cup or less
Walnuts ¼ cup, chopped
Nutmeg to taste
Cinnamon to taste
Vegetable spray
Salt a pinch, to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray cooking spray in a flat casserole dish or large pie plate and set aside. Peel and slice apples and arrange it in a heaped fashion in a casserole. Sprinkle a pinch of salt a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon. Pour water and lemon juice into the bottom of the casserole over the apples or along sides. With a pastry blender, combine butter or margarine with flour, oat cereal and brown sugar.
The topping should be mixed until crumbly. Stir in the walnuts. Arrange the topping over the top of apples. Spray the cooking spray over the topping, this encourages browning. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown and apples are bubbling. Allow to cool and serve

Tart apples 3 pounds
Light brown sugar ½ cup
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
All-purpose flour 1/3 cup
Cinnamon ½ tsp, ground
Nutmeg ½ tsp, ground
Granulated sugar 1/3 cup
Rolled oats 1/3 cup
Cold butter 4 tbsp (1/2 stick)
Walnuts ½ cup, chopped
Peel the center and chop the apples. Toss in a bowl with lemon juice. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl. Add to the apples and toss. Mix flour, sugar and oats in another bowl. Cut the butter into the flour until the mixture is crumbly.
Stir in the chopped nuts. Butter a 9-inch square baking dish and sprinkle the flour mixture. Bake at 375 F for 35 to 40 minutes. The apples have to get tender and the topping crisp. Serve with vanilla ice-cream
Healthy apple crisp recipe
Granny Smith apples 9 or 10 cups, sliced
Granular sugar substitute 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp sugar substitute
Unsweetened dried cherries 1/4 cup
Old-fashioned rolled oats 1/2 cup
Trans-fat-free margarine 1/2 cup
Whole-grain pastry flour 1/2 cup
Water 1/2 cup
Cinnamon 2 tbsp, ground
Fresh lemon juice 2 tbsp
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Using cooking spray, lightly coat a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. In a bowl soak cherries. In a stirring bowl, mix oats, margarine, ¼ cup sugar substitute, ¼ cup of flour and cinnamon, stir until crumbly. In a separate bowl, toss apples and lemon juice. Mix the balance flour, 2 tbsp sugar substitute and cinnamon with the apples.
Place the apples in the baking dish and pour the cherries over the apple mixture. Toss lightly to blend. Sprinkle the oat topping over the fruit mixture. Bake until apples are tender. Serve warm
Apple pecan crisp recipe
Medium baking apples 4 (golden delicious, Rome, etc)
Dark brown sugar 1/3 cup
All purpose flour 1/3 cup
Rolled oats 2/3 cup
Pecans 1/3 cup, toasted and chopped
Cold unsalted butter 6 tbsp, cut into bits
Fine salt 1 pinch
Unsweetened whipped cream optional
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly butter 6 (6-ounce) ramekins. In a medium-sized bowl, beat the brown sugar, flour, oats, pecans, and salt. Rub in the butter until it is in even, pea-size pieces. Peel, core and coarsely chop the apples. Divide evenly among the ramekins. Spread the crisp topping evenly over the fruit in each of the ramekins.
Transfer the ramekins to a baking sheet and cook until the fruit bubbles around the sides, the top should get golden. Preheat a broiler. Place the crisps about 4 inches from the broiler and cook until golden brown, for about 30 seconds. Allow it to cool for about 15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream.

All-purpose apples 10 cups, peeled, cored and sliced
All-purpose flour 1 tbsp
White sugar 1 cup
Cinnamon 1 tsp, ground
Water ½ cup
For the topping:
Quick-cooking oats 1 cup
Packed brown sugar 1 cup
All-purpose flour 1 cup
Butter 1/2 cup, melted
Baking powder 1/4 tsp
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place the sliced apples in a 9 x13 inch pan. In a mixing bowl, mix white sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and ground cinnamon well. Sprinkle over apples. Pour water evenly.
Mix the oats, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, flour and melted butter together. Crumble evenly over the apple mixture. Bake for about 45 minutes.

Granulated sugar ¾ cup
Flour 1 ½ cups
Packed brown sugar ¾ cup
Oatmeal 1 cup
Unsalted butter ½ pound, diced

Mix the sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, oatmeal, slivered almonds and butter in a bowl. The mixture should reach the consistency of soft dough. Use a stand mixer until the butter is in the size of peas.
Cinnamon-egg apple crisp recipe
Apples 6 cups, thinly sliced
All-purpose flour 1 cup
Granulated sugar 1 cup (if apples are sweet)
Salt ½ tsp
Baking powder 2 tsp
Egg 1
Butter ½ cup
Cinnamon 1 to 1 1/2 tsp
Place peeled and thinly sliced apples in a 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle sugar over apples. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl. Add egg and mix well until the mixture turns crumbly. Sprinkle the flour-egg mixture over the apples, Sprinkle cinnamon evenly.

Apples 5, peeled and diced
Cornstarch 3 tsp
Cinnamon 1 tsp
Agaves nectar ¼ cup
Lemon 1/2, juiced
Raisins small box
Rolled oats 1 cup
Whole wheat flour 1/3 cup
Light brown sugar ½ cup
Butter ¼ cup, melted
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, mix apples, cinnamon, agaves nectar, raisins, and lemon juice. Sprinkle the cornstarch. Toss until fruit is coated. Place fruit in a non-greased baking dish. Mix the remaining ingredients. Sprinkle over fruit.
Bake about 40 minutes or until topping is golden brown and fruit is tender. Serve with a scoop of low fat ice cream or fat free frozen yogurt.
